About ARPA South Australia

ARPA SA is the South Australian branch of the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA), and it is the only organization in South Australia specifically established to represent the interests of the Vocational Rehabilitation Industry in this State.

In 2005 ARPA SA became a member of ARPA National. Its membership consists of Vocational Rehabilitation provider companies registered with The WorkCover Corporation of South Australia (WorkCover SA), and with other compensation schemes including Comcare. It is estimated that the ARPA SA membership accounts for at least 90% of the Vocational Rehabilitation work performed within the South Australian WorkCover scheme and other compensation schemes. Membership includes small, medium and large sized Vocational Rehabilitation providers that are private, Government and insurer owned entities.

ARPA SA and its members believe that appropriate Vocational Rehabilitation intervention is key to the achievement of cost effective and durable return to work outcomes for injured individuals, whether this is with the pre-injury employer or a new employer.

ARPA SA is recognized as the Vocational Rehabilitation industry body by WorkCover SA and other compensation authorities, and has representatives on WorkCover SA committees such as the Rehabilitation Strategy Group and Rehabilitation Operational Issues Group, Industry Best Practice Sub Committee and Provider Education Sub Committee.

ARPA SA continues to achieve significant outcomes for its members through its ongoing involvement in negotiations and discussions with relevant compensable and Government bodies, as well as with key stakeholder groups.
